Inserted into the thematic "community traditions," covers an area of unique natural beauty of the Serra do Gerês. Runs up over three corrals of the Baldio de Vilar da Veiga: the Corral of Espinheira, the Corral of Carvalha das Éguas and Corral of Lomba do Vidoeiro constituting a short route path (SR). Its distance is 10 km, with an average/high degree of difficulty. Inserted into the Cultural and Landscape context the trail of Currais provides a direct contact with the spirit and local community traditions, from the forest-pastoral organization in the form of herd. This community practice, peculiar of the Serra do Gerês, takes place from May to September, and the cattle of the community is sent by carters paths to the top of the hill, where the corrals are. The vezeiros - Cattle owners - follow for days or weeks the cattle, depending on the number of animals they own, carrying the utensils for food and stay in the cottages of the corrals. The maintenance of these community structures is ensured annually. Every year, prior to the rise of the cattle to the mountains, on the cubais’ day, owners clean the carters paths, arrange the cottages and fountains.
